Teams set up to arrest PM's nephew Hasan Niazi

The police department on Friday formed special teams to arrest barrister Hasan Niazi, nephew of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, who was present outside the Pakistan Institute of Cardiology (PIC) during the violent protests by lawyers.

Sources said that Hassan Niazi had fled before the raids of police personnel for his detention.

Hasan Khan Niazi, son of Hafizullah Niazi, can be seen stoning in CCTV footage and breaking the police mobile. He also took pictures with his friends outside the PIC.

After this incident, he took to Twitter and wrote, "I am ashamed of myself after watching this clip. This is murder !!!

“My support and opposition was limited to initiating legal action against the doctors concerned. I only stand for peaceful protest.

"It is a sad day and I now condemn myself for supporting this protest."

It is pertinent to mention that there were violent clashes between hundreds of lawyers and doctors on Wednesday, killing at least three people when the accused lawyers barged into the PIC and broke the windows of nearby emergency wards and several vehicles.

Two FIRs (First Information Report) were registered against more than 250 lawyers involved in the attack.
